SMS / TCPA Policy

This policy describes how SKRT handles SMS/text-message marketing communications, telephone marketing, and our practices for compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and applicable Do-Not-Call regulations.

If you are an SMS marketing subscriber, this policy is the controlling document for your SMS communications with SKRT.


1. What SKRT may send you

If you opt in to SMS, SKRT may send the following messages to the phone number you provided:

  • Promotional offers, new product launches, and exclusive subscriber-only deals
  • Cart abandonment reminders (where you started but did not complete a purchase)
  • Order updates that are transactional in nature (shipped, delivered, delayed)
  • Restocks and back-in-stock notifications you've requested
  • Customer service follow-ups in response to a question you initiated

2. How you consent to SMS

We send marketing SMS messages only with your prior express written consent. You consent by:

  • Submitting your phone number through an opt-in form on our website or a tablet at checkout
  • Replying YES or JOIN to a confirmation message after entering your number on a form
  • Verbally agreeing to subscribe during a customer service call (only when authorized and confirmed)

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (e.g., cart reminders, promotional offers) from SKRT at the number provided.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may purchase from SKRT without subscribing to SMS.

3. Message and data rates

  • Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. SKRT does not charge for messages, but your carrier may.
  • Message frequency varies, typically up to 8 marketing messages per month, plus transactional messages tied to your orders.

4. How to opt out (STOP)

You can cancel SMS marketing at any time:

  • Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any marketing text from SKRT
  • You'll receive a single confirmation message and no further marketing texts
  • You may still receive transactional texts about an active order (shipping updates, delivery notifications), these are not marketing

To re-subscribe later, you'll need to opt in again (text JOIN to our short code or use a website signup form).

6. Supported carriers

SKRT's SMS marketing program is compatible with major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket, U.S. Cellular, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Eligibility

To subscribe to SMS marketing, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of the United States, Canada, or another country where SKRT operates SMS marketing
  • Have authority over the phone number you provide (it's yours, not borrowed)

We do not send marketing messages to numbers on the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry, unless you've explicitly opted in to SMS marketing through our channels.

8. Calling hours

SKRT does not initiate marketing phone calls. To the extent we ever do, all marketing communications will respect:

  • No calls or texts before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM local time at the recipient's location
  • All applicable state and federal calling-hour restrictions

9. Internal DNC list

SKRT maintains an internal Do-Not-Call/Do-Not-Text list:

  • Once you opt out via STOP or by request to customersupport@iskrt.com, your number is added immediately
  • We retain DNC records for at least 5 years in compliance with TCPA
  • Opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days at the latest

10. Caller ID and number identification

  • All SMS messages from SKRT are sent from approved short codes or long codes operated by our SMS provider on our behalf
  • SKRT does not spoof or obfuscate sender identification

11. Sharing of SMS data

  • SKRT does not sell, share, or rent SMS subscriber phone numbers or message content to third parties for their own marketing.
  • We share data only with our SMS provider (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, or similar) strictly to operate the SMS program on our behalf.

12. Compliance & training

SKRT's policies require:

  • All staff handling customer communications are trained on TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and DNC obligations
  • Marketing systems are configured to honor opt-out requests immediately upon receipt
  • Records of consent and opt-out are retained for compliance audits

13. Privacy

Your phone number and SMS interaction data are personal information governed by our Privacy Policy. SMS subscribers retain all privacy rights described there, including the right to access, correct, or delete their data.

14. Disputes

Any dispute regarding SMS marketing or this policy is subject to the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service, including the binding arbitration and class action waiver clauses (with the option to opt out of arbitration within 30 days of agreeing to the Terms).

15. Updates to this policy

SKRT may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued participation in SMS marketing after a change constitutes acceptance.
